Create a smaller, compatible JPG from a PNG image.
JPEG is widely accepted and often smaller for photographs, but it cannot store transparent pixels. This preset fills transparency with white before encoding so the result does not get an unexpected black background.
Original dimensions are used when the PNG loads. You can change them with number inputs or the live size control, and optionally add a maximum file-size requirement.
- JPEG and white background are selected automatically
- Original dimensions remain unchanged unless you edit them
- Format, pixels, bytes, and metadata removal are verified

What happens to transparent PNG areas?
They are filled with white because JPEG has no alpha channel. You can choose black in the background menu if that better suits the image.
Is JPG always smaller than PNG?
Not always, but JPEG is usually much smaller for photographs and detailed color images. PNG can be better for sharp graphics or transparency.
Can I keep transparency instead?
Yes. Return to the background menu and choose transparent; PixelComply will switch to an alpha-capable format such as PNG.
